The Making of a GTP Image

Monday, January 19, 2009 | Weddings
|

| I have decided to do this little slideshow to show the difference in our images - since many of our clients cannot invison what a finished product will look like, and also, for prospective clients so they can see the difference when comparing. Our method is to get the image right as we photograph and then ENHANCE , and not take the picture, then FIX and REPAIR! So as you view this slideshow, the before images are the first ones, with the enhanced images next; to some the "Before" images look "good enough", however to us, the final version is what we do on a regular and consistent basis - the makings of a GTP Image. Hope you enjoy!

Tina and Dhrupal December 28, 29, 30 2009 Holiday Inn Goa India

Well with this wedding, I might as well start from the beginning, because this was an experience Jen and I will never forget. Tina and Dru heard about GTP from another one of our brides, and contacted me in the summer of 08 with the question "Do you travel"? "Of course we do, I just got back from Cancun where we did two weddings!" Then Tina started laughing and said, "Well this is a little farther than Canun!". And so the saga began!
This turned out to be an absolutely awesome trip, with unbelieveable people. Never meeting the bride ( until day 1 of the 3 day wedding) and the groom ( when we JUST arrived at the hotel), we instantly became friends with them, their families, and also THEIR friends. This turned out to be as one guest put it - 4 days of continous parties. There was the car ride to the largest Cathedral in Asia, the crowd control as Tina walked down the aisle, the incredible photo sesasion after the Catholic ceremony being followed by many "onlookers", the reception at the Hyatt, where everyone was "just getting warmed up"! Then Day 2 came with the henna and garba festivities, the Arabaian theme party, belly dancers, the BEST DJ we ever heard, and then late night partying on the beach until the wee hours of the morning ( and a "dip in the India Ocean"). Day 3 was more of the same, as the ceremony was on the beach, awesome, colorful outfits, incredible dusk images on the beach, "mankinis" all over the place ( I forgot my speedo ;-0 ) another awesome reception with that SAME INCREDIBLE DJ; just an absolute blast! THEN, New Years Eve, a party without my camera, welcoming in 2010, with a huge fireworks display, Goa's own redention of a Mummers Band, meeting Russian partygoers. OMG what a trip, so many things to tell not enough time or space to do it!
A special thanks to Tina and Dru for thinking enough about Jen and I to trust us to bring us to India for their special event. To all of Tina and Dru's friends from the UK and India, we are so glad that we met all of you, and now we can call you our friends also! To Loretta and Rishi and the staff at the Holiday Inn Goa for making our stay, and this event, a very memorable experience. Your attention to every detail was just phenomenal! To Alfie from Reynold Weddings and the whole crew, your are true professionals in every sense of the word, Jen and I did not see anything goi wrong with the 3 days of events - remarkable! To the familiess of Tina and Dru, your friendship and hospitality went above and beyond anything Jen and I could ever imagine. We cannot wait to see you all again! And now for the slideshow, thanks to the phenomenal DJ Merwin for the mixes for this show - everytime we hear these songs, it will bring back great memories! ENJOY!

Megan and Tom December 19, 2009 The Waterfall Room

Sunday, December 20, 2009 | Weddings
|

What a way to end the year! During the week as the weather reports kept geting worse and worse, I started to think - WOW Thiis could be some day! And boy was I right! A record snowfall fo about 24 " for Megan and Tom's wedding. The day started off with me reminding Megan that she had to cancel her engagement session FOUR TIMES due to inclement weather, so a snow storm was not out of the norm....lol. Anyway the dreary weather and horrendous driving conditions did not deter anyone as everyone attended and they partied all day and night long, P & P Catering did an outsatnding job with the catering at The Waterfall Room in Northeast Philadelphia. Touche the Band had the already wound-up crowd in a frenzy all night long with great dance music. Even an appearance by the Fralinger String Band had everyone doing the Mummers strut - no one took a break as the reception was a sea of colorful umbrellas. I hope you all enjoy!
Here are the camera persons from Fox 29 and KYW Ch 3 and I waiting for the bride to arrive at the church!
